HRSG Inlet

Many gas turbines have an expansion joint that connects their transition duct aft of the turbine to the front wall of their HRSG’s.  These types are a cold to cold style joint; both frames are internally insulated and the exterior is presumed cold.  These joints function on the basis that the liner system and insulation remain in tact below the fabric.  In many cases, we find the liners or insulation missing which cause hot spots and premature failures of the material.  Here are some of the inlet belts we have replaced:
