Company Insurance Overview:
Medical and Dental insurance enrollment is available 90 days after you start work. Long Term Disability is available 180 days after you start work. IAFD medical, dental and long term disability premiums are subject to change at any time if IAFD decides to change carriers or the structure of the plan. Our normal renewal date is December 1st of each year. IAFD pays for a portion of the medical, dental and long term disability insurance.
IAFD offers Short Term, Life, Accident and Disease insurance through AFLAC. The AFLAC insurance is voluntary and 100% employee paid. You are eligible to enroll in any of these programs immediately after becoming an employee.
401(k)/Profit Sharing Plan:
IAFD has a 401(k)/Profit Sharing Plan with a non elective ‘safe harbor’ employer contribution component. The 401(k) portion is 100% employee deferred compensation. The ‘safe harbor’ provision allows IAFD to contribute 3% of your annual eligible compensation (eligible compensation is the annual compensation after becoming eligible) to your 401(k) account, which is vested immediately. The Profit Sharing portion of the 401(k) plan allows for discretionary annual contributions by IAFD into your 401(k) account.
